Dear Sir/ Madam,
The North Star Club, entering its fourteenth year of operation, is a community-based youth soccer league and an organization that teaches youth about the values of teamwork and co-operation. With no support available from public sources, the Club is entirely reliant on the community for support and I am contacting you to ask you to consider extending some support to the Club.
The North Star Soccer Club is a non-profit organization that includes many adults who volunteer their time to coach and organize the children. The Club’s current head coach, Peter Zukovski, is a professional coach with 30 years of experience. He has a true love for the sport and manages a committed group of fellow volunteers.
The support that you and other similar organizations provide assist the Club with operating funds, equipment, uniforms, practice facilities, tournaments, league and association fees, transportation, and referees. Additionally, many of the children involved in this league are in some degree of financial need and cannot afford to fully pay for the cost involved in being a member of a first rate soccer league. As a donor, you are entitled to receive a receipt for income tax purpose, and depending on your level of support, a variety of sponsorship benefits.
